Our prayer Requests

The Pastoral Staff - that God would lead them to help carry God's word to others.

The President of the United States - that he would hear God speaking to him and follow God's will

The "M&M" missionaries - that God would prepare them for do what they need to do for the Mission Field.

BGMC - let's bring in money to support our missionaries.

Christ the Savior Church - Pray that God will bless Pastor Yuri and his work in Tiraspol, Pridnestrovia.

 

Stuff to Grow On

When we have friends at school, sometimes they don't exactly know how to react when we make a stand.  It's intimidating for them.  But doing what's right is never wrong.  If you feel like your friends aren't encouraging you to be the best you can be for the Lord, pray for them.  And pray that you will remain strong in the face of discouragement.  Remember, "Stand Firm" I Thes. 5:11

                                      


New School Year, New Chance to Witness



 
In the past, we've talked aobut being a good witness by being able to explain what you bleieve when you have the opportunity.  But I'd like you to try a new approach.  How about just being a good friend?  That's right, all you have to do to witness to your friends and teachers at school is to be a good friend.  Just help out whenever someone needs you or invite people over for a cookout and a movie.  Maybe you could bring a special snack to football practice or even write a thank you note to your friends mom for having you come over to their house.  It's crazy isn't it.  You could show how Christ loves you by loving other people and respecting them.  No big lesson or scriptures to memorize - all you have to do is be a faithful friend who sets a good example.  But watch out, if you get good at this friend thing, people will be following you all over the place - maybe even to church.
 
 

RADical Man!

How about doing something RADical (Random Acts of Descipling)?  Why don't you call up one of the others kids at church and ask them if they've read their Bible today, or if they've memorized any scripture lately?  But beware - if you hold them to this standard, they can hold you to the same standard.  Learn to stay accountable to a good Christian friend.  Then when things aren't going so well, the two of you can pray for each other and help each other STAND firm in the faith.  Be a RADical friend!
