Our Purpose

Children Have Purpose

We believe every child is a minster of the gospel in their own way.

We believe every child deserves to hear the message of Christ at their own level of understanding.

We believe Christ came to save all people of every nation.

We believe every child has a special place and purpose in this world.

We believe it is our responsibility to help children reach their full potential and learn to use the special gifts God has given them.

Current Ministry Focus

Just Back from Tiraspol!

I've been back in the states for only a few days.  I was blessed by God to spend two and a half months with the congregation at Christ the Savior church.  It was amazing!  I learned so much with them and in many ways, my spiritual vision was totally transformed.

Many cultural things were very interesting to me.  For example, every guest in your home is asked three times if they would like to eat.  Every guest turns down this offer the first two times and only reluctantly accepts the third - even if they are really hungry.  Another thing you should know if you are visiting Tiraspol - you should not wear your shoes in the house you are visiting.  And you should never put your shoes on a chair in the house you are visiting.  This is considered very unsanitary and extremely rude. Also, while in this part of the country, you should not sit on the ground.  Only bums sit on the ground, apparently.  Oh yea – and you should expect to be offered tea at every meeting, meal and visit regardless of the temperature or the time of day.  And it is rude not to accept it.

About church - if you're not serious about serving in the kingdom of God while you are in Tiraspol, don’t go to Christ the Savior church.  This church teaches its members that service is the appropriate outlet for expressing the love of God. They expect everyone to have a ministry of some kind where they can demonstrate their love for others and learn to serve God in some way.  The days are long and the work is not always easy. But the benefits are tremendous.

If you want to experience the movement of the Holy Spirit in worship, then Christ the Savior Church is the place to be.  Their worship service is so filled with the Spirit.  The worship team is amazingly talented and leads the congregation in everything from dancing in the Spirit to shouting out praise to lifting holy hands to the Lord. It is wonderful to experience this movement and to see God's anointing on the people there.  God’s presence is so strong in services, and the people there seek to glorify God and commune with God during each gathering.  I learned so much about just being in His presence.  As Pastor Yuri told me about 400 times, “Just live in Him.”

I can't wait to go back!

Adding Fun

WORD WISE Challenge

Pastor Yvette challenges you to read scriptures four times a week and pray every day.  It's easy if you follow along with our monthly devotionals.  You can pick up your copy during our STAND ministry time on Sunday mornings from 10:30 to 12:30.  In Kid's Church we will be asking questions for many of our games that come from Bible reading dealing with our lessons, devotionals, and Qubo on NBC.  But you can "Beat the Toaster" or make Simmon's Head Spin if you know the scripture we're working on.  Hope you're quick on the draw - you'll need to be to buzz in on time with the correct answer to our Bible trivia game!  You'll want to be wearing the "BIG PANTS" when the tennis balls start flying.  And don't miss the next game of "Snatch the Bacon"  - no pig is safe in this fast paced race for your team.  And remember, you could be a Candy-Aire if you know the answer to the question of the week.
